It All Started With Love

It started with a dog named Waltter.

After more than ten years working as a chef, I decided to take what I knew from the kitchen and make something special for my own dog. Instead of reaching for another processed treat, I went back to the basics — real ingredients, homemade recipes, and the kind of care you put into something when you're making it for family.

Walter loved them.

That simple reaction started something much bigger.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Today, my world revolves around Waltter, Mary Jane, and Pedro, our cat. They are not just pets — they are family. And they are a big part of why I started Shaggy Snacks: to give pets the same love and quality I wanted for my own.

What started in my kitchen slowly became a dream. I began experimenting with recipes, baking homemade treats, and sharing them with other pet parents. Soon, that dream found a place at local markets, where Shaggy Snacks started small — with a little booth, fresh treats, and a growing community of happy dogs.

Today, Shaggy Snacks has grown beyond what I first imagined. Most of our treats are now sold online, but I still love getting out to the markets, meeting our customers, and seeing the dogs who inspired us enjoy what we make.
